The Neelam Valley of Pakistan

Neelam valley is placed in Azad Kashmir realm. In Azad Kashmir, Pakistan the deeply forested area is Neelam valley i.e. 144 km long bow-shaped. Neelam valley is settled in the North-East of Muzaffrabad, going parallel with the Kaghaan valley. Both of the valleys are separated by hills that are covered by snow. It is lying about 4000 meter above the sea level. Lush green trees, flowing streams and the Neelam River running between the high towering hills makes one delightful dream of paradise.

  Sub divisional headquarters of the area is Athmuquam which is situated at the height of 137 meters. This place is famous for the variety of fruits present here. Although a domestic airport of Muzaffrabad is in operation but in order to attract more international visitors, this airport should be ranked to International terminal.   Neelam is situated 9 kilo meters far from Athmuquam at the edge of the Neelam River. It holds the height of 1524 meters from the sea level with panoramic view. Wild life is also present here.
